After these things, Perseus with his own wife returned to the city of Acrisius. • However, that man when he saw Perseus, was influenced by great fear; for on account of the oracle itself, he was still fearing his own grandson. • Therefore, immediately he fled back into Thessaly to the city of Larisa, however, in vain; for he did not avoid his own fate. After a few years, the king of Larisa made great games; he had sent messengers into all parts and he had set the day. • Many from all cities of Greece came together to the games. • Perseus, himself, entered the contest of discuses among the others. • But while he threw the disk, he killed his own grandfather by accident; for Acrisius by chance was standing among the spectators of his contest.
