Custom iPad Check-In Solution for North Way Christian Community

North Way Christian Community, led by IT Director John McGuire, launched a custom iPad Check-In system on July 20/21. Designed to replace costly kiosks, this user-friendly app minimizes parent re-training and boosts efficiency. The check-in process is seamless, with server-generated nametags printed directly to the room, reducing handling by parents. Since its launch, over 18,000 participants have checked in, including kids and various ministry groups. The future plans include expanding capabilities to a web client and enabling remote check-ins.

  6. BASIC FEATURES • Native iOS App • Very simple to use • Server generated nametags & printing • Zero setup • Fast visitor check-in • App can run anywhere 6

  8. HOW IT WORKS • The Settings Screen • Run only once for configured Ministry (Program) • Settings are saved permanently • iPad will automatically poll server for most current event 8

  9. HOW IT WORKS • Check-In is Simple • Nametags are printed directly to the room • Parents don’t have to handle nametags • Volunteers manage nametags and anticipate the arrival of each child • The server handles all the nametag printing and back-end processing. 9

  10. VISITORS • Simple Web Page (any browser) • Only first name, last name, and group is required. • Nametags look the same and print to the appropriate room. 10

  11. SO FAR, SO GOOD… • Using iPad Check-In since day 1. • Over 18K participants checked in. • Now checking in Kids, Students, and Beth Moore Women’s ministry participants. 11
