  1. Team: Trusty Tapes School: Belmont High School Year level: 11 Trusty Tapes aims to create an injury tape that allows the athlete to reuse it, as current injury tapes are expensive and wasteful. Our design allows tapes to be used again, as after a use it can be taken off, washed and used the next day. This results in a more cost effective preventative of injury and allows the athlete to reuse their wastage of materials. Inspiring & educating our next generation of global entrepreneurs

Team: Bubble Bra School: Belmont High School Year level: 11 The Bubble Bra seeks to solve the problem of uncomfortable bra’s, as the current market does not have many alternative options to underwire bra’s. The bra will inflate/deflate via an air pocket within the bra which is controlled by a remote. The Bubble Bra aims to provide ultimate comfort to anybody after a supportive, secure bra. Team: NavSafe School: St Josephs College Year level: 10 NavSafe is a simple device that wants to address navigation issues when riding a bike, because currently people have to constantly look at their phones or a map which is impractical and unsafe. will be a simple round device that screws onto theNavSafe bike and connects to your phone via Bluetooth to link your map app. Once connected the small display signals with an arrow which way to turn to reach your destination.   4. Team: Resealable bread bags School: Belmont High School Year level: 10 Resealable bread bags want to do away with bread clips/ties that are constantly breaking which leads to bread going stale. Instead they plan to create bread bags that incorporate zip-lock seals into the design of the bag. Inspiring & educating our next generation of global entrepreneurs

Team: Foldable Driving plates School: Northern Bay College Year level: 10 Foldable Driving plates aim to address the problem of people never having learners, red or green probationary plates when they’re needed. The plates would be made of a flexible material that could fold into a small square and be stored in ones wallet or car. Inspiring & educating our next generation of global entrepreneurs

  6. Team: One Team, One Dream School: Clonard College Year level: 10 Young people sometimes struggle to find purpose in life which can lead to mental health issues. One Team, One Dream idea is to create a program that assists young people in discovering their passions, identity and aspirations for the future. The program will utilising a range of tools including motivational speakers, workshops and events to help young people develop tools to aid them in life. Team: Ice jacket School: Lara Secondary College Year level: 8 The Ice Jacket idea is a jacket suited for hot Australian days, utilising frozen ice packs that can be inserted into specific spots of the jacket i.e under the arms, lower back etc The jacket is designed for people working in a hot environment that need to keep cool.   8. Team: Ron and Bekky School: Northern Bay College Year level: 10 Do you ever wonder where your children are? If so, then the bus tracker app is for you. Utilising the potential of the myki card by embedding a chip into the card. Parents can then track their children via an app and know where they are at, at all times.   9. Team: Healthy Life School: Belmont High School Year level: 10 Struggling to workout and eat healthily? Unsure how to make healthy meals with the ingredients you have at home? Our app Healthy Life takes away this struggle by helping people find recipes based upon the ingredients one has in their fridge, also provides calorie and nutrition options. Take a photo of your available ingredients, search with key words or scan a barcode Healthy Life will provide you with all the healthy delicious recipes.   10. Team: Handy Heaters School: Belmont High School Year level: 10 The universal problem of cold tea, coffee or hot chocolate can happen to anybody. However Handy Heaters solves this problem via detachable cup handles that can be placed in the cup and keep the cup at an agreeable drinking temperature.   11. Team: Fastpass School: Belmont High School Year level: 10 The idea of Fastpass stems from the sheer number of passwords one must remember to function within the current digital age. So Fastpass utilise an already well understood piece of technology, one’s phone. Instead of remembering your own passwords the phone does, on your request the phone can input any password you might need either into a phone app or via a desktop browser. Team: Eyes on the line School: Northern Bay College Year level: 10 Car accidents are increasing and can be partly linked to an increase in mobile phone usage, fatigue, not concentrating or distractions such as talking. Eyes on the line utilise camera technology that’s mounted on the car, it detects if the car crosses over a line and the colour of the line to help driver’s stay on the road.   13. Team: Blue Minds School: Lara Secondary College Year level: 9 People struggling with depression can often struggle to help their family understand what their going through. Blue Minds seeks to change this via an app that wants to bring together parents and children. The app will help develop tools amongst both parents and children to help them understand mental health problems, decrease the stigma and develop tools and techniques that can be used to help someone whose struggling. Team: Escalator pressure plates School: Lara Secondary College Year level: 9 Escalator pressure plates want to reduce the loss of energy that occurs when escalators are left on all day and night, which is a problem in Australia. The pressure plates will registered when somebody steps onto the escalator and will start moving, once they leave the escalator it will stop moving.   15. Team: Exciting Elements School: St. Josephs College Year level: 7 Exciting Elements wants to improve scientific studies and education for schools and personal interests. The idea is to develop an app that allows customers to explore the Atomic level of matter through their own phone or tablet, the app will include varying modes to see the different ingredients in food or some form of drink via a scanner attached to a phone . The idea is a high tech greenhouse that combines vermiponics and the latest greenhouse technology at an affordable price, so that everybody can have the option to grow their own healthy food. Insect Paralyzers is the answer that you’re looking for, a spray that tranquillizes the spider or insect. Allowing it to be placed back in the environment without harming yourself or the insect and maintaining the natural balance of our delicate ecosystem. Based on a ranking system once the news has been reported, the app will use a map that pinpoints the area in your local community where a news story is breaking. Team: The Talking Bins School: St. Josephs College Year level: 8 The concept behind the idea of the Talking Bin is a simple one aimed to help people (specifically students) engage with waste disposal/ recycling. The Talking Bin will play a sound every time a piece of waste is disposed off, with multiple sound options available it will appeal to all sorts. Team: The MagnaTracker School: St. Joseph’s College Year level: 9 When someone breaks the law whilst driving, police have two options; chase after the person/s in a possibly dangerous pursuit, or hope that the offender won’t hurt any person or property and wait it out. However the MagnaTracker wants to eliminate this problem for police officers via a tracker, that can be placed on the car. Inspiring & educating our next generation of global entrepreneurs

Team: Sudan Mental Health School: Clonard College Year level: 11 The Sudan Mental Health idea aims to address the stigma attached to mental health, specifically aimed at people coming from a range of diverse cultural backgrounds. The clinic will provide a range of mental and physical health services and draw on the resources of the community to educate/help people. Team: Automatic Garbage Tax School: Belmont High School Year level: 10 The idea of an Automatic Garbage Tax is a non-intrusive solution to help reduce the amount of waste Australian’s produce each year, it will encourage households and business to be conscious consumers. By creating awareness of the amount of waste they produce, this will be achieved by measuring the weight of each bin and taxing the amount. Ethical Fashion will provide an online platform to collate all the sources of ethical fashion at an affordable price to appeal to a wide audience. The site will also have a secondhand sale section to encourage sustainable consumption. As well as focusing on making the sustainable fashion industry a mainstream concept. Students are exposed to a wide variety of negative messages on a daily basis, which has seen a rise in mental health issues. The FLO team aims to combat this by the creation of an app that sends positive messages to students, filtering/monitoring of internet/google searching, alerts a parent/best friend of any questionable searches, speed dial service to services such as Beyond Blue, Lifeline etc Inspiring & educating our next generation of global entrepreneurs

With a majority of them having to use wheelchairs it’s a significant part of our community, however wheelchair users find that many wheelchairs lack adequate storage. WC Storage aims to fix this problem by creating a storage compartment that attaches to the side of the wheel, which makes it accessible for more users. Camp Kanimals seeks to utilise these benefits in the form of a camp that brings students and animals together. Easy Work is an app that places students into a group chat that allows them to communicate ideas, foster relationships amongst students and encourages them all to complete their work. Currently services are separated based upon their area of business however users can find this experience cumbersome and difficult to use. Open EDU will offer peer-reviewed courses across all disciplines, the courses will consistently be updated to reflect the latest learning advancements. Meet Up could be run during lunch break and offer a range of activities, the session would be run by students and everybody would be encouraged to participate. Our idea Checkout aims to help end this by the creation of an app that can scan the barcodes and then charge the purchases to your account.   35. Team: The Personal Car School: St. Josephs College Year level: 8 Push button start 'smart' cars are very easy for criminals to steal. Criminals can simply scan your key from meters away and then they have full access to your car. Our business idea is to add a biometric fingerprint scanner (similar to that on the iPhone) on to push to start buttons on cars to add an extra layer of security. SPOT is an app that is used as; digital diary, homework tracker, temporary social media blocker during times when meant to be studying, produces data on how much homework has been completed, reminder notifications. Team: Bike Buddy School: Belmont High School Year level: 10 The problem is that there is no device that can attach to your bike and/or helmet, that can track and save your distance or send a distress signal. The idea behind Bike Buddy is to create a safety satellite device that clips on to bikes and/or helmets that send out distress calls to their location.   40. Team: Work for Home School: Belmont High School Year level: 11 Currently there is a large statistic of homelessness and struggling youths who need a place to live and basic resources. Work for Home is an idea centered around a living arrangement (like a hotel) where people do jobs for the council in exchange for a position at the home. Team: OHS Reporter School: Lara Secondary College Year level: 10 At workplaces the amount of unreported potential OHS problems due to the hassle many employees have to go through in reporting incidents or possible incidents. However using the OHS Reporter app/program it is easy for employees to submit potential problems and enable dialogue between employers and employees.   43. Team: Jobs near me School: Geelong College Year level: 9 A current problem is that people don't have simple and easy access to everyday jobs they can complete for small amounts. My idea is to create a Website/App that allows users to go on and find a job near them that they can easily sign up to and complete that day or arrange another date to do it.
