Lumberjack Learning We learned…. • Lumberjacks had to wear the same long underwear for a whole season. • Lumberjacks only take baths at the end of the season. • You found your great great grandpa’s bandana. • Napolean is an actual bear you met. • You use thousands of books to get information for your writing.

Lumberjack Learning We learned…. • You actually had someone set a fire in your high school. • Lumberjacks had to sleep with bedbugs. • Lumberjacks had to use leaves for toliet paper. • Tobacco makes your teeth turn brown. • You want to go on a dig in Virginia. • You played a scratch-my-back! • The real bear’s mom got shot just like in the story.

Lumberjack Learning We learned…. • You are creating a Greek Alphabet book. • You actually chewed tobacco and got sick for three days just so you could write about it. • Tobacco tastes horrible! • Donuts are called sinkers. • Coffee is called black lead. • The characters are based on some of your family members.
