We discussed the Hungarian artist Victor Vasarely, who became known as the originator of Op Art, short for optical art. Op Art showed the various effects achieved through retinal stimulation. For example, an optical illusion such as Vasarely’s TRIDEM-K (1968) feels like the design is shifting and moving under the eye. Your student created their own Op Art masterpiece, which resembles those of Victor Vasarely. We enjoyed sharing with your children.
