Exploring the Solar System: A Planetary Biography Project

In this engaging project, 6th-grade students will create a multimedia presentation featuring the eight planets of our solar system: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Each student will design a slide for each planet, addressing at least three key research questions and incorporating dynamic elements such as animations, sounds, and pictures. Additional creative options may include scanned images, personal photos, and appropriate videos. This project aims to enhance students' understanding of the planets while developing their presentation skills in a fun and interactive way.

Guidelines • Create a title slide • Create one slide for each of following planets: • Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. • Address at least 3 of the research questions for each planet. (This is C level work) • Include on your slides: • Animations • Sounds • Pictures • Transitions

  3. Things you may want to includebut are not required. • Music from a CD (Should not be distracting) • Scanned Pictures • Photo of yourself • Video (if appropriate in size and length)
