The Center exists to create an environment in which all students, regardless of their ethnicity, culture, or differences, feel safe and respected. Through leadership development, cultural awareness, community education, and the creation of a constructive social change, the Cross-Cultural Leadership Center will contribute a positive, enriching, and memorable life experience to every student of CSU, Chico and its surrounding community. • Upcoming events

The Campus Alcohol & Drug Education Center (CADEC) was established in 1988 to prevent alcohol and drug abuse on campus. • Located in SSC 190 • Education classes, including AlcoholEdu, events like Shamrock Shuffle, Fun Without Alcohol Fair • People: Shauna Quinn, Program Director Theresa Fagouri, Program Coordinator

NEW location in WREC Center starting fall ‘09 • People: • Kimberly Scott, Director • Mary Wallmark, Sport Club Director • Steve Riccomini, Intramural Director • Services: Not the same as athletics! Recreational and competitive sports clubs, summer camp for CSU staff & community • Events: Fun Runs, Film Festivals, Ballroom Dance Nites, Madden Video Football Tourneys, Night Golf and MORE!

FACILITIES AND EVENTS • Reservations for regular student organization meetings on campus, space in Free Speech Area: SAO Front Desk • Event and equipment reservations (must see Rick) • What constitutes an event? • Food Permits, Amplified Sound, Deadline for Reservations, Use of Major Facilities, Equipment Rental, other forms • Use of outside commercial partners • Reserving gyms or theatres • Event planning and publicity Campus/student announcements Student Org e-mail list Campus calendar Print shop (departments only) Mailing lists Web sites

Student Employee Guidelines • Brief explanation of budget, difference between State and foundation funds and forms. • Confidentaility/FERPA laws • Tech support (x6000 User Services) and copy machine issues (call Print Shop) • Campus directory • Payroll procedures/pay dates, breaks, max hours per week, hours of operation • Behavior (cell phones, studying on work time, Internet surfing, dress code) • Calling in sick/schedule change policy • Reviews • Represent the department with outside behavior as well as inside the office.
