The Region 4 Student Activities Conference (SAC) in 2011 showcased numerous accomplishments including hosting a Regional Student Paper Contest with nine participants. The event emphasized best practices for improving attendance and engaging students, alongside ethical leadership through planned competitions and workshops at Northwestern University. The agenda featured keynote speakers, leadership training, and ethics competitions, encouraging student involvement with IEEE and promoting awareness of engineering careers. Registration and event details were provided, engaging students with BBQ activities and networking opportunities.

SAC Accomplishments in 2011 • Hosted a Regional Student Paper Contest at the EIT conference: Nine papers entered • Plans to improve attendance • Attended the SAC conference in Seattle • Many good ideas on best practices • Working on getting all of the slides to understand what we can incorporate into R4 • “Change the World Competition” Judging • 11 papers judged • IEEE Webpage Contest • Currently Planning the Leadership Workshop and Ethics Competition
