  2. Prochlorococcusmarinus Marinus is found in the ocean. It is bacteria. It’s common name is prochlorophytes. Marinus is the smallest know prototroph with a size of 2 Mb.

  3. Prochlorococcus marinus • It is 0.5 – 0.7 in diameter. • It is so small, it was undetectable until epifluoresence microscopy was able to detect a faint red glow from the organisms unusual pigments. • It divides once a day in the subsurface layer of oligotrophic areas.

  4. Parameciumbursaria • Kingdom: Protists • Common Name: PBVC-1 • It can be found in warm water or aquatic enviroments. • Interesting things: It has a relation with green algae. It once was in the kingdom of Plants but was transferred to Protists

  5. Carcharhinus acronotus • The common name for this organism is the Black nose Shark. • It is in the animal kingdom. • It lives in the Western Atlantic Ocean • 2 interesting facts: • 1. It got it’s name from a black dot on it’s nose. • 2. They fall prey to larger sharks.

  6. Chamaecyparis formosensis • The common name for this organism is a Coniferous Tree. • It is in the plant kingdom. • It grows in the Central Mountains of Taiwan. • 2 Interesting Facts: • 1. It can grow up to 55-60 meters tall. • 2. The wood is soft and is very resistant to decay.

  7. Saccharomyescerevisiae • Kingdom : Fungi • Common name : Yeast • Found in the Grocery store in the baking isle • It reproduces by budding • Eggs and butter slows down growth • Used for baking
