  5. Editorial Reaching a wider Arabic Audience Attracting a wider Arabic Audience for GIBTM is a key focus for this year as well as developing the meetings industry within the region. GIBTM has required the help of the media and we are proud to have seen coverage in major Arabic publications this year. GIBTM has enjoyed vast exposure within the following Arabic publications: Al Watan - Al Khaleej - Al Mal Al Bayan – Qatar Today - Emarat Al Youm – First Ever Arabic Educational Session To help encourage the industry within the region GIBTM is proudly supported by Ali Al Saloom of Ask-Ali.com, delivering an Arabic session at GIBTM which attracts large numbers or local buyers. The session has created a huge amount of media coverage and has been highly praised by the region.

  7. Visitors & Hosted Buyer Recruitment In order to ensure that GIBTM delivers a high ROI for exhibitors we understand that a highest visitor quality is essential. Database Enrichment To ensure the highest number of quality visitors attend, the entire visitor database is regularly overhauled resulting in projects to build on regional professional contact data. In 2011/2012 telemarketers were employed to qualify possible trade visitors and hosted buyers from the Region who have serious business to place. The results have shown a clear rise in the number of regional buyers attending GIBTM as part of the Hosted Buyer Programme with geographical regions such as Saudi Arabia seeing a 100% increase in qualified buyers. Direct Mail Communications Email Communications are regularly sent out to over 30,000 Global Business Travel, Meetings & Events professionals. Hosted Buyer and Trade Visitor invitations were made interactive offering visitors a new way to discover GIBTM pre show. Experience GIBTM, the official show preview was launched for the first time in 2012 offering buyers and media the opportunity to view show and exhibitor information pre show. Feedback has been particularly positive.

ACTE: The Association of Corporate Travel Executiveshave strategically partnered to bring the Business Travel focus to life at GIBTM. ACTE offer business travel buyers and professionals the opportunity to learn cutting edge techniques throughout a variety of educational sessions over two days. We highly recommend that you attend. Post GIBTM show analysis has regularly identified visitors’ interest in new technology. This year the GIBM Technology Zone will deliver the very latest innovations to reach the events industry and we are certain of a positive visitor uptake. The GIBTM show app is a highly valued and integral part of the show.
