  2. Music such as indie music, like the Band I have chosen to make a music video about, varies from the music channels that it can be played on. The type of music in the genre of indie can be very family friendly and catchy but also have hidden meaning with adult content. Mtv choose to aim at mainly young people as their target audience however keeping the music quite light and poppy. This is why I think this music channel would in particular would be a prime option to show this music video. This music video is similar to other indie music videos such as artists such as Jamie T have the same kind of music video and style of music that the boys in the band I have chosen to do are looking to be like. Jamie t does a video to accompany his song ‘spiders web’ in this video it has narrative feature, such as when the lyrics say ‘’running with believers’’ it shows Jamie running down an alley with one of his friends. In my music video I wanted to have similar features. For example, the band Short list have their song call Sweet Mary Jane, one lyric is ‘Snap backs and chinos just to fit in’’ for this shot, I would hopefully be able to get a shot of the boys in chinos and their shoes. Like a pan shot. MTV do show Jamie Ts music and music videos which leads me on to think that they would also be interested in showing the band Short list’s material on their widely viewed television channel.
