Impact of E2 and Aβ1-42 on Relative Bax Expression in Mitochondrial and Cytosolic Fractions

This study investigates the effects of E2 and amyloid beta (Aβ1-42) on the relative expression of the pro-apoptotic protein Bax in both mitochondrial and cytosolic fractions. By comparing Bax levels in different treatment groups, including controls and combinations of E2 with Aβ1-42, we aim to understand how these factors influence cellular apoptosis and potential neurodegenerative processes. The findings highlight significant variations in Bax expression, critical for elucidating mechanisms of action in neuroprotection and apoptosis pathways.
