Grab a computer and let’s compare an LEDC to an MEDC development using the HDI • Log onto the following 3 web sites below: • HDI web site: http://hdr.undp.org/en/ • HDI Calculator http://hdr.undp.org/en/statistics/data/calculator/ • CIAfactbook: www.ciafactbook.gov With the first web site look and see how we use the HDI and their categories, then use the second web site to play with data found on countries of your choice, so you understand the calculations.

  7. With the stats found and the total explain with example what has INFLUENCED the changes in Development? • See if you can improve on your last answer on Iraq with the Afghanistan Development!!!

To describe the graphs do 3 things:1. Describe the general trend of the information found and support by quoting data from any findings2. Acknowledge exceptions (sometimes called anomalies) to the general trend and support with data from any findings3. The third thing is to support your descriptions with data from any findings
