Dropping Courses Must drop full year courses by the end of the first marking period Requests must be in writing & signed by parent Continue to attend class until a new schedule is received Adding Courses Can add full year courses within first 2 weeks of school After this time frame, a contract must be submitted to complete missed work Continue to attend scheduled classes until a new schedule is received. ADDING / DROPPING COURSES NO SCHEDULE CHANGES OF A COSMETIC NATURE WILL BE MADE! (pg 17)

  9. Graduation Regents Exam RequirementsClass of 2016 • 1 Science (Earth Science or Living Environment) • Algebra I • Global Studies (Grade 10) • English (Grade 11) • US History (Grade 11) * All Regents exam grades must be at least 65 * Page 8 in Course Description Book

Advanced Regents Diploma • In addition to the previously mentioned credits and exams: • 2 additional Math Regents (Geometry & Algebra II) • 1 additional Science Regents • 2 additional Languages other than English credits* • 1 Language other than English Regents* *Can substitute 5 unit sequence in Occupational Education

  11. Promotion Requirements • Pass English & Social Studies course at each grade level • Earn 5 1/2 credits per year * Page 5 in the Course Description book

  12. ACADEMIC SEMINAR • Supported with an aide • Help with homework • Help with organization • Not a social study hall • Must have work to do • Can use the library
