  1. KX-TDE and KX-NCP Series OneNet

  2. VoIP and IP Capacity Enhancements TDM-VoIP channel capacity • Increases from current 49 channels to 113 channels* 49  113 IP TDM Trunk: SIP /H.323 Ext: IP-PT/SIP Option Cards LCOT / DHLC BRI / PRI / DLC / SLC *New MPR Hardware required (Mass production changes from July 2010)

  3. VoIP and IP Capacity Enhancements ISDN 49  113 SIP DSP IP TDM Trunk: SIP /H.323 Ext: IP-PT/SIP Option Cards LCOT / DHLC BRI / PRI / DLC / SLC PSTN H.323 IP-CS DPT HGT100 IP-PT PS (DECT) SLT

  4. KX-TDE100/200/600 and KX-NCP500/1000 OneNet System enhancementImpact on DSP

  5. System Capacity Enhancements As System Capacity for the TDE100/200 /600 and NCP500/1000 communication platform improves, the DSP implications need to be well understood. Notes: 64 IP trunks mean – Max 32 SIP trunks and Max 32 H.323 trunks at the same time. 64 IP Trunks mean – Max 64 SIP Trunks, but only a Max 32 H.323 Trunks. Total 64 IP trunks at any time

  6. Calls between TDM and SIP Trunks • DSP Impact due to improved MPR Hardware • 64 SIP trunks and 32 H.323 trunks (Total remains 64 Channels) • Note: • No improvement for DSP4/16 because DSP limit has been reached • Limitation by DSP64, G.729 requires more DSP resource than G.711. IP TDM 64 SIP Trunks 49  113 DSP Trunk: SIP /H.323 Ext: IP-PT/SIP Option Cards LCOT / DHLC BRI / PRI / DLC / SLC DPT PS (DECT) 32 H323 Trunks SLT

  7. Calls between IP PT and TDM • DSP Impact due to improved MPR hardware • Calls between IP-PT and ISDN/Analogue CO/DPT/SLT/PS • Note: • Limit reached due to 113 Channel limit • No improvement for DSP4 becausenot enough DSP capacity. Limited by DSP64G.729 requires more DSP than G.711. DSP16 supports 16 IP-PT for G.729.DSP64 supports 64 IP-PT for G.729.DSP16/64 supports more for G.711. IP TDM Trunk: SIP /H.323 Ext: IP-PT/SIP Option Cards LCOT / DHLC BRI / PRI / DLC / SLC ISDN 49  113 DSP DPT IP-PT (Max. 128) PSTN PS (DECT) SLT

  8. IP-PT to SIP Trunk Communication No improvement for DSP4/16 becausenot enough DSP capacity. Both SIP trunk and IP-PT use DSP. IP TDM 64 SIP Trunks 49  113 DSP Trunk: SIP /H.323 Ext: IP-PT/SIP Option Cards LCOT / DHLC BRI / PRI / DLC / SLC IP-PT (Max. 128)

  9. Calls between IP CS and DPT • DSP Impact due to IP CS • Calls between IP-CS and ISDN/Analogue CO/DPT/SLT/PS (via Normal CS) • Note: • Limit of DSP16 • Limit reached due to 113 Channel limit Limited by DSP64G.729 requires more DSP than G.711. No improvement for DSP4 because not enough DSP capacity. DSP16 supports 16 IP-PT for G.729.DSP64 supports 64 IP-PT for G.729.DSP16/64 supports more for G.711. IP TDM Trunk: SIP /H.323 Ext: IP-PT/SIP Option Cards LCOT / DHLC BRI / PRI / DLC / SLC ISDN 49  113 DSP DPT IP-CS (Max. 16) PSTN PS (DECT) SLT

  10. IP-CS to SIP Trunk Communication • Note: • Limit reached due to DSP16 resources. • IP-CS connection does not support P2P connection. Therefore, IP-CS takes one TDM-IP Channel and IP-Trunk also takes one TDM-IP Channel – for one call. One IP-CS to IP-Trunk thus takes two TDM-IP Channels. Maximum no. TDM-IP Channels is thus 113/2=56.5 => 56 IP TDM 64 SIP Trunks 49  113 DSP Trunk: SIP /H.323 Ext: IP-PT/SIP Option Cards LCOT / DHLC BRI / PRI / DLC / SLC IP-CS (Max. 16)
