The Cathedral of Florence • This cathedral is the tallest building in Florence and it is the most famous landmark. • This massive Gothic cathedral has an eyecathing dome (built by Brunelleschi) • The interesting thing about the dome is that it was built without scaffolding!
Arno River • The city is divided by this river. Tourist attractions exist on both the noth and the south sides of the river. • Visitors can enjoy walks along the Arno. • It is a wonderful place where you can relax and take photographs
The Palazzo Vecchio • It is a fortified palace which includes a tall bell tower. • A museum is now located in the palace.
Michelangelo Square • It is one of the most impressive landmarks in Florence. • It is perched high on a hillside and from there you can see the entire city. • A replica of Michealangelo´s statue of David stands in the centre
