  2. Immigrant population in Ravenna • 13% of total population • 16% of age 0-14 • 2001: 5.000 2010: 18.000 • 30% UE • Countries of origin are almost 100 • Mostly from: Romania, Poland, Albania, FYRM(Macedonia),Morocco,Tunisia, Nigeria,Senegal

  3. Main Migration Strategies • Economic migration (Men as workers in industry ,building and agriculture. Women as care givers for old people) • Family Joining (wife and children) • Forced migration (refugees and humanitarian protection holders, victims of sexual trafficking, victims of work trafficking)

  4. Inclusion patterns In UE different inclusion patterns: • Assimilation • Multiculturalism • Interculturalism In Ravenna we are working within the frame of the interculturalism pattern , with specific local policies
