PNPI research directions: • physics of elementary particles and fundamental interactions; • physics of atomic nuclei and nuclear reactions; • neutron physics; • solid state physics; • theoretical physics; • physics and engineering of reactors and accelerators; • molecular and radiation biophysics; • radiation medicine; • new techniques and experimental equipment PNPI base facilities: • 18 МW research nuclear reactor; • 100 МWresearch nuclear reactor (to be completed in 2013); • 1 GeV proton accelerator.
