A. NOx- concentrations measured by NOA chemiluminescence (Nitric Oxide Analyser) method from aqueous humour after 60 minutes of eye drop (GSNO 1mM) instillation at 15’, 30’, 45’ and 60’; p=0.003. B. Kinetics of the GSNO absorption in vitreous after 5’, 10’ and 15’ of instillation of GSNO eye drop evaluated by NOA chemiluminescence. The curve shows the concentration of NOx- (µmol/l). It was observed an increase in NOx- levels on aqueous humor and vitreous after topical administration of GSNO demonstrating that GSNO is able to cross the ocular barriers. These observations show that NOx- is rapidly detected in anterior chamber (aqueous humour) and also inside the vitreous with a rapidly decrease in its concentration
