  3. Daily Schedule • 9:13-9:25 Get Ready for the day • 9:25-9:55 ELD/SLD • 9:55-10:25 Clinic • 10:25-11:10 Language Arts • 11:10-11:55 Lunch • 11:55-12:40 Language Arts • 12:40-1:55 Math • 1:55-2:09 Recess • 2:09-3:05 Science (English) or Social Studies (Spanish) • 3:05-3:25 P.E.

  4. Expectations • Be Respectful • Be Responsible • Be Safe • No Bullying • Repeated, Intentional, Power

  5. 4th Grade • Switch every seven days • Planners • Assignments written in daily • Signed nightly • Students need them every day • Notes • Math and Language Arts spirals • Used in both languages, so they are needed daily

  6. Grading • Tests-Important that students study and complete homework nightly to ensure they understand the skills being taught. • Projects • Homework-Turned in or not • Daily assignments in English may be graded, assignments not turned in will receive a zero.

  7. Supplies for Success • 1 ½ inch binder • Pencils (#2) • Colored pencils or crayons • Ball point pens (red, blue, black) • Wide ruled paper • Dividers and/or folders

  8. Absent? • Please send your child back to school with a note stating why they were absent. • Student is responsible for finding out what assignments they missed.

  9. Our Goals for Your Children • Further develop their skills • To read, write, speak in both languages. • to apply their learning and create personal meaning. • Increase their level of personal responsibility • Be accountable for their actions • Enjoy learning

  10. We Are A Team • Teachers, Students and Parents • Parents can help by: • Checking and signing planners nightly. • Talking with children about what they are learning in school. • Have children read 30 minutes a night in the language that the child is learning in. • Reviewing classwork and tests that are sent home.
