My career portfolio reflects valuable experiences gained in the hospitality sector, focusing on heavy lifting tasks, room setups, and food service. Under the guidance of my supervisor, Allan Mirrett, I learned essential skills that extend beyond formal education. I have improved my communication, organizational, and leadership abilities while working alongside dedicated co-workers. My experience has reinforced the importance of employer-guest relationships and has significantly boosted my self-confidence. This co-op program at renowned institutions like Ryerson University and UBC prepares aspiring professionals for successful futures in hospitality.

Impressions to Others • I would say that it was a very enriching experience in terms of knowledge and work experience. Co-op prepares you for your future career and gives you an idea of what you will be facing day-to-day in your not so far future. It opens up more career paths and it makes it specific, work and be treated as a worker. It’s a serious program, so take it seriously.
