X and Y Intercepts

X and Y Intercepts. Intercept. In a function, an intercept is the point at which the graph of the line crosses an axis. If it crosses the y-axis it is called the Y INTERCEPT and has the point (0,Y) If it crosses the x- axis it is called the X INTERCEPT and has the point (X, 0).
