Aim TITLE To improve the quality of the response to HIV and AIDS in Europe by increasing the effectiveness of HIV prevention using practical Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Improvement (QI) tools
Quality in HIV prevention TITLE Preventing new HIV infections and disease in a manner consistent with the best available evidence, theory and experience.

Quality Assurance or Improvement? TITLE • Quality Assurance (QA) monitors the quality of services and activities against standards, including review, problem identification and corrective action. • Quality Improvement (QI) identifies, implements and evaluates strategies to increase the capacity to fulfil and exceed quality standards.

Two additional tools TITLE • PIQA: Quality Assurance: prevention with people who inject drugs • Self-assessmentquestionnairederivedfromDutchPreffitool, usingqualitycriteriacontributedbyexperts in thefiled • Schiff: Quality improvement: policies, strategies, action plans • Derived from Succeed and NCPI indicators • includes preparatory quesatrionnaires for stakeholders (stakholdersnapshopt and key population profile), a questionnaire with rating scales and open questions, and a methodology guide for facilitators.
