  2. All of us want to try every possible thing to make the photos more attractive. Adding shadow is the latest addition in this list. By adding shadow, you can bring special look in the photo. Especially, if you are dealing with E-commerce business you will be able to make your product photos extremely appealing. Let me show you ​how to add​ shadow in Photoshop​. There are numerous ways to create Photoshop shadow. I will show you the easiest and effective one. Without taking any more time let’s get started. Permit me to show you how you can add shadow with this Coca-Cola Can. Firstly, make a duplicate of the layer. To do so click the right button on the object layer and hit this option.

  3. Then select the previous layer by clicking on it.

  4. Afterwards, press CTRL + T to enable free transform option. It will give this type of look to your object with rectangle.

  5. In the next step, pressing the CTRL option and from the top of the rectangle move the object and place it like this. Give a special attention in the downside of the object make sure that you have positioned like properly and things are looking a bit more natural. Here the process of creating the shadow is going to be started. Choose the gradient tool from the left side of the editing bar.

  6. After this move to the tops of the gradient option and choose the 3​rd​ one. Also make sure that at the right this option is selected.

  7. Then lock the gradient option of the layer from here.

  8. It will keep your gradient effect only within this object. Then make a slide by pressing the moose from the downside of the object to the upper side.

  9. It will bring a black and white look in the photo like this. Still it is not looking like a proper shadow. You have to put some more effort to make it like a ​shadow​. Considering this, go to this option named Gaussian Blur.

  10. Then a new dialogue box will be opened.

  11. I am setting the value 3.0 pixel here. Let’s put some extra effort. Go to rectangular marquee tool. And place it in this position.

  12. At this stage, go to refine edge option and set the value of the father high according to the shadow and object type. Then repeat the previous procedure of applying Gaussian blur option. Hopefully, you will find a natural looking shadow after that process.
