WP3 Microbial diversity exploration in the Mediterranean Sea sites WP leader: UMIL • D3.1: • Molecular fingerprinting such as DGGE and ARISA will be applied in the frame of the establishment of the “Diversity database of microbial species present in the different environments” • DAPI staining has been used to evaluate the cell number/ml of seawater • D3.2: bibliographic research and tests are ongoing to set-up the most suitable analyses on catabolic genes 1st YEAR MEETING, Sicily January 21-23 2012

WP3 Microbial diversity exploration in the Mediterranean Sea sites WP leader: UMIL • D3.3: all the partners are invited to provide suggestion to UTUN about the probes to be included in the Biodeg Monit Microchip • D3.4: samples collected from the sites in the red squared are still missing at UMIL laboratories, please send it to the Project Coordinator to allow the creation of a microbial diversity map of the Med Sea 1st YEAR MEETING, Sicily January 21-23 2012
