  2. YFZ Ranch Kids are sent home The Texas Supreme Court has ruled that the the removal of about 460 children from the polygamist Yearning for Zion Ranch was unwarranted and unnecessary. The polygamist ranch involved.`

  3. The children were removed because officials suspected rampant child abuse, including forced marriages between underage girls and older men.

  4. Ehud Olmert Accused of Corruption The Prime Minister of Israel is facing pressure to step down after corruption allegations.

  5. An American businessman, Morris Talanasky, has testified that he gave Olmert over $150,000 cash as bribes over a 15-year period. “I only know he loved expensive cigars”, Talanasky noted. Olmert admits accepting money as governor of Jerusalem, but claims it was through legal campaign donations.

  6. Many see this as particularly bad timing, because it makes Olmert look less credible compared to his Palestinian counterpart, Mahmoud Abbas.

  7. Gas Prices: Average $3.81/gallon Top oil company executives tell congress they are not to blame for rising oil prices. The US government has blamed OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) for limiting production capacity. OPEC blames China’s increasing consumption.

  8. President Bush traveled to Saudi Arabia in an attempt to convince the ruling family to increase oil production.

  9. They refused, as Saudi Arabia has already upped exports by 300,00 barrels/day to meet demand. The senate has introduced a bill to block a $1.4 billion arms deal unless production is increased by 1 million barrels/day.
