Adult and Community Learning Delivers non accreditated and accredited learning to adult in the local community Offers bespoke, tailored learning with an emphasis on being learner led Qualifications up to Level 2 offered in: ICT Skills for Life – Literacy and Numeracy Soft Skills gained: confidence, self esteem, motivation, team work, working with others and potential life changing opportunities. Offers volunteering options I have totally turned my life around’
ACL Client Group • Pre cursor to mainstream education • Available to all adults with a range of needs, including: learning difficulties, physical disabilities, mental health issues • Open to all members of the local community
New Deal • A mandatory 6 month scheme in association with the Job Centre. • A basic employability training programme for people unemployed for 18 months or more with basic skills needs • Academic training, job searching and on the job practical experience • New Deal clients are required to improve their literacy by one level • Most clients complete at least one Literacy and one ICT qualification during their six months I have totally turned my life around’
