Project Ability is a transformative initiative aimed at revolutionizing participation in physical education and sports for young people with special needs and disabilities. Led by Kevin Barton, Head of SEND at the Youth Sport Trust, it establishes a national network of 50 lead schools that are experts in engaging disabled youth in competitive activities. By providing training for school leaders, creating meaningful competitive opportunities, and enhancing understanding of inclusivity, the project aims to foster confidence and encourage participation alongside non-disabled athletes.
