The Martial Eagle, renowned as one of Africa's most formidable birds of prey, showcases striking dark brown plumage with white speckling. Found primarily in the Karoo region, these majestic creatures attract tourists, although spotting one is rare. They measure 76-96 cm in length, weigh between 3.1-6.2 kg, and boast an impressive wingspan of 188-260 cm. Their diverse diet includes game birds, reptiles, and even small mammals. Notably, females are larger and more aggressive than males, making them captivating subjects for wildlife enthusiasts.
