  1. Are library's beneficial? By Elena Martin 7cc Lincroft Middle School

  2. Do you think reading helps you learn more ? I choose this question to find out if people thought by reading books it helped you to learn more. Where is there a better place to be able to find books free to read than a library?

  3. How many times do you go to the library per month? I choose to ask this question because if books help you learn more then the library is a fantastic place to find hundreds of books that are free to read. Which by reading this helps to widen your vocab.

  4. Do you think that it is a good idea to use the library for tests and exams? This question was to find out if people thought is was a good idea to use the library when revising for tests or exams. This would be especially useful if you needed to borrow certain books for revision that you perhaps couldn’t afford to buy.

  5. Which do you think is better ? Using a computer or reading ? This question was to find out whether people thought reading an actual book was better and if they would use a library to read or if they would rather read a book on the computer which you are less likely to do in a library.

  6. What types of books do you read ? The type of books you read affects how much learning there is in the book. This shows what sort of books people love to read and how much they learn from a library.

  7. Do you think reading improves your range of words? If you learn words from reading books you will have more books to choose from in a library.

  8. How do you learn best? I wanted to know if you would learn more from a library by reading yourself, listening to somebody read aloud, watching a story on dvd/tv or by other means.

  9. What type of environment do you think you learn best in? I asked this question because if you do not like learning inside then you probably will not use a library.

  10. What sound level do you learn best in? I choose this question because it helped me find out about what sound level people worked best in.

  11. Do the books you read help you with your learning? This tells me if books are a learning source .

  12. Does reading improve your imagination? I wanted to know if your imagination was improved more by reading Fairy Tales or Fact Based Books. What did you imagination think things looked like when reading such books.

  13. Is your imagination an important part of learning ? I asked this question to find out about imagination because if reading improves your imagination does it play an important part in life?

  14. Where do you find you learn best? Everyone is different which means that we all like reading in different places. Some learn best outside, some inside, some at home, some in the library etc. Does it make a difference as to which books you like to read or you are more likely to be interested in. If you like to be outside would you explore a reference from abook you could get from your local library.

  15. When do you find you learn best? I choose this question because normally you can only get in to the library during the day time not the evering.

  16. Why do you find you learn best at this time ? I choose this question to understand why they learn best at that time.

  17. How I collected my data! • To collect my data I used a questionnaire here is a copy of the questionnaire

  18. I have concluded that the Library is beneficial! • You can go to a library to read books for free and they are open to members of the public. • They let people revise for tests. • Books can improve your imagination and knowledge which are important life skills. • Most people think that you learn from books and libraries are good as they hold lots of different books. • Books are a great learning source and are very accessible in a library. Libraries also provide computers to enable you to research on for free. • I also found out that 42 of the people I asked said that they went to the library twice a month. The more you go to the library the more you learn and knowledge is gained. • I asked if the library was a good place to revise my response was positive and 10 people said that the library is good to revise in. • Also people mostly find that they learn best in the day so the library is very convenient. • A bad point is that most people learn best at home. • Most people like to read fiction books. • That is why I decided the library is beneficial
