LS1 plan • LS1 will start towards end November 2012 (week 48) and will last for approximately 1 ½ years (i.e. till July 2014), this corresponds to approximately 80 weeks. • Baseline sequence: • Add 5 TRD modules • Add 6 DCal supermodules and 2 1/3 supermodules • Add 1 PHOS module • On the top of this sequence, we have numerous items, like LV consolidation, UPS upgrade, extension SAA3, chilled-water upgrade, L3 ventilation, L3 cooling maintenance, PMD mechanics upgrade, CO2 and N2 systems consolidation. • MNF will not be removed. Shutdown conclusion, LS1 and LS2 planning - A.Tauro

New HCAL Photodetectors. Completion of FWD muons upgrade • LHCb - full trigger upgrade, new vertex detector etc. LINAC 4 connection ? K. Foraz - LHC Performance Workshop 2012

  3. Other activities(and their impact on services) • TPC/TRD LV cables BKF • 4m work (Mar-Jun 2013) • UPS upgrade: • Technical solution under discussion. Most probably 4-6 m unavailability of UPS (DAQ, DCS, cooling plant…) • Chilled water increase • 1-2w no water (2013) • Cooling plant tank replacement • new 2m3 tank (at least). Beginning 2013 • New outlets for redundancy of Ethernet cables

  4. TPC gas consumption • 2012: • TPC volume: 45l/h Ne/CO2 (90/10). 50kCHF/year • TPC envelopes: 170l/h of CO2/O2 (98/2). 2kCHF/year • 2013: • TPC volume: 22.5l/h Ne/CO2 (half flow) • 2014-15: • Same as 2012
