  3. Lesson 58 – On Malta 28:1-10 • The natives displayed great kindness v. 2 • A cold rain set in…they built a fire & allowed the 276 castaways to warm themselves • Paul gathered wood and was bitten by a viper v. 3 • The natives thought him “guilty” v. 4

  4. Lesson 58 – On Malta 28:1-10 • Paul shook the snake off into the fire… when nothing bad happened, the natives then saw him as a “god” vv. 5-6 • Malta’s “leading man” (Publius) greeted and entertained Paul & his companions for 3 days v. 7

  5. Lesson 58 – On Malta 28:1-10 • Publius’ father lay sick in bed…Paul laid hands on him & healed him v. 8 • As a result, all on the island brought their sick loved ones to Paul for healing v. 9 • Paul & his companions were treated with “honor” and were given supplies v. 10

  6. Lesson 58 – On To Rome 28:11-31 • After 3 months, they boarded another Alexandrian ship that had also spent the winter on Malta v. 11 • They came to Syracuse (on Sicily)v. 12 • From there, they sailed to Rhegium…then to Puteoli v. 13
