USCC Highlights andGoals Accomplished • Conference Theme : Service Without Borders • Workshops with key note speakers included effective public relations, how to organize an effective fundraising, members development and retention, web communications and designs, district leadership, effective service projects, the Rotary-Rotaract bond, Rotaract in Action • Learning the true meaning of volunteerism • Club services presentations – Rotaractors share there service experiences • Socialization & Team Work • We met fellow rotaractors from all over the world, we shared meals, entertainment, service projects, and learnt about each other clubs. We also discussed what we where doing in our communities and our club goals for the future. Also what “ Service Without Borders” meant to us as members.

  5. Day III- Workshops in Progress

  6. Day 2 Service Project – sorting, and packaging clothes and scholastic materials to the Philippines

  7. Upcoming Projects - Fall 2007 • Dictionary Project for Elementary school kids, sponsored by the Rotary club of Silver Spring • Sponsoring event (to be brainstormed) in honor of Silver Spring Rotary Club and faculty advisors Dr. Robert Brown • Clean up activities for at least three Takoma Parks around MC • Strengthen our relationship with the Rotary Club of Silver Spring • Clothes drive in support of the homeless. • We hope to build stronger relationship with RYLA, and other Rotaract clubs in the area. • Explore possibilities of working with the MC volunteer office.
