Coordinating, planning, and action
Pooling resources and expertise
Establishing community investment
Sharing responsibility, accountability, and recognition

4. Local Coalitions The local coalitions contribute to the states effectiveness by identifying opportunities for innovation, education, and increased access within their geographic area.

(CKF Lafayette, St. Landry, & St. Martin)
7. Goal Increase awareness of Medicaid and LaCHIP through education and advocacy while building community partnerships.
8. Mission Extending a helping hand and empowering families and individuals by providing access to healthcare.
9. Vision Through collaborative efforts promote education and family access to comprehensive healthcare so every child in Louisiana is insured.
10. Meetings Local coalition meetings are held every other month, but are not held in the same month as a statewide coalition meeting.
Statewide meetings of the coalition are held twice yearly.
The local meetings are held in different parishes( Lafayette, St. Landry, & St. Martin).
11. Coalition Membership Become a member of your local CKF coalition if:
You are passionate about healthcare
You want to share best practices with your allies and partners statewide
You advocate for improved healthcare access
You work with families that have uninsured children.
12. Benefits of Membership Allow members to present information about their organization and gain insight to address their organizations needs and concerns.
Allow members to receive updated information about children services and healthcare.
Avenue to assist children and families in their respective communities ( Lafayette, St. Landry, and St. Martin Parishes).
13. Coalition Membership Coalition membership is open to any individual or organization interested in promoting health coverage or access to primary and preventive health care for children, families, and those who complete a membership form.
14. Leadership Team Coalition members representing each parish.
Work closely with LaCHIP CKF Program Coordinator to help organize the following within respective parishes:

Information about events and activities related to health coverage and services for children and families to be reported at the Coalition meetings.
Represent CKF Lafayette, St. Landry, & St. Martin at statewide coalition meetings.
Two Year Term Statewide coalition meetings are open to all members. Statewide coalition meetings are open to all members.
