IMPORTANT MILESTONES • Established as Army Childrens’ School in 1953 • Recognized by Kerala State Government as a Primary School in 1996. • Upgraded to Upper Primary Level in 2004. • Became part of Army Welfare Education Society from 01 April 2007 and the school was re-designated as Army School for Classes I to VIII. The School was inaugurated on 02 April 07 by Brig. P.M. Hariz, VSM Commander, 91 Inf Bde as the 123rd school under AWES. • Provisional CBSE affiliation was granted for 3 years (01 Apr 2008 to 31 Mar 2011) to conduct classes up to class X. • The first batch will be appearing for CBSE Board Exam in March 2010. • Number of students appearing for the board exam in 2010 is 32 • The total number of students on roll is 716

  4. The students and teachers have a very healthy and cordial relation

  5. The Army School Trivandrum , being situated in one of the most literate states in India , which has high political awareness, has to meet very high expectations from the parents. There is a lot of emphasis placed on discipline since the government schools here have a very active student politics, and face problems due to this. The army school TVM does not encourage student politics and hence there is a lot of demand from civilian population to secure admission into this school. Since the school is situated within the contonement, the frequent hartals which paralyse Kerala does not effect us.

  7. CLUB ACTIVITIES The following clubs have been formed in the School and teachers are assigned to each club. The students of class VI and above have club meetings once a week. The Mathematics club and Science club conduct quizzes in the assembly. The nature club has started a herb corner to plant small plants like mint and tulsi. Sports Club Mr Deepak English Literary Club Mrs Bindu Hindi Literary Club Mrs Renjini Mathematics Club Mr Sateesh Science Club Mrs Sajitha Nature Club Mrs Lekha Social Science Club Mrs Rekha Philately Club Mr Anand Arts and crafts club Mrs Priya, Mrs Bimala IT Club Mrs Haritha

  8. The students from each club put up exhibitions at regular intervals

  9. The nature club at their herb corner

  10. The students visited the Kochi Naval Base as part of their educational tour.
