This study details the process of analyzing fire use within the national parks of the Intermountain Region. It involves reprojecting shapefiles, downloading terrain data, and executing analyses using spatial tools to assess fire use against management practices. Key steps include clipping Digital Elevation Models (DEMs), overlaying data layers, and creating maps that integrate various spatial datasets, including roads and fire management units. The analysis culminates in quantified fire use areas compared to non-fire management areas, replicating the process across six national parks.
