  3. Key question 2 of the Common Inspection Framework asks us to evaluate: how well teaching and training meet individuals’ needs how well learners learn and make progress Why differentiation?

The FENTO standards state that teachers or trainers should: select appropriate teaching techniques to accommodate different styles of learning use a variety of teaching methods to meet the needs of groups and individuals, and to provide an environment in which all learners have the opportunity to experience success. Why differentiation?

  5. The unit from the Learning and Development Standards entitled, ‘Agree learning programmes with learners’ makes reference to: taking account of the learning styles, needs and goals of learners. Why differentiation?
