The AMI Forecasting System offers precise predictions essential for wind energy operations. Utilizing advanced mesoscale models like MM5 and WRF, the system provides 48-hour forecasts, updated twice daily, to help with load scheduling and energy management in complex terrain. Our system includes bias removal and adaptive statistical modules, ensuring accuracy in wind speed, direction, and energy forecasts. With extensive testing conducted in Texas and comparisons against actual observations, our forecasts outperform other systems. Delivered via an Internet-based platform, the AMI system is adaptable for any site.
