What is Student Veteran Life? • The mission of SVL: to help veterans successfully transition to the University of Washington, thrive in their studies, and launch into a successful, post-college life • Founded by student veterans, for student veterans • Our office is responsible for everything having to do with student veterans outside of Financial Aid and GI Bill benefits

  8. Intersectionality is the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage.
