PROGRAM INFORMATION Thailand has become an extremely popular employment choice with young travellers, as they immerse themselves in the exotic culture and lifestyle.  Living and working in Thailand allows you the opportunity to earn good money and experience life in one of the most beautiful countries in the world.  Job placement is guaranteed!! Training will be held in either Chiang Mai, Thailand’s most laid back city, or Krabia town on the western seaboard of Thailand, believed to have one of Thailand’s oldest histories of continued settlement.

REQUIREMENTS • Native English speaker • Thai Schools favour foreign Caucasian teachers • Degree Holders (Non Degree holders may also apply**) • Passport holder from USA, CAN, UK, IRE, SA, AUS or NZ • Commit for a one-year employment contract • Criminal record check • Physically and mentally healthy

RECRUITMENT PERIOD • The Premium Course starts on the 1st Monday of every month. • Intensive Course starts on the 1st Monday of every month. • The Hybrid Program starts on the 2nd Monday of every month. • The Pro Program starts on the 3rd Monday of every month The Training centres will be closed for March. The best time to start is April to coincide with the new school year starting in May, or else October to coincide with the new school term starting in November.

Being that Thailand has never been colonized by a western power so its traditions and culture is very different from ours.

R9,500 to R11,500 per month) • As an option you are allowed to also offer/provide private English lessons and earn a much higher hourly rate

PRO PROGRAM – TEFL QUALIFIED WITH DEGREE ONLY The Pro Course is specially designed for “degreed” applicants that hold a teacher training certificate and wish to be placed as a teacher in Thailand. • The Teacher Training certificate must be at least 120 hours of in-class instruction from a recognized teacher training company following the international guidelines.

  10. OVC INCENTIVE :: 2014 • For August & September – earn $75 per applicant for 3 or more applications per month – FULL COURSE FEES NEED TO HAVE BEEN PAID.

PROGRAM INFORMATION Disney English provides a world-renowned English program in many different cities in China.  Trainers get a chance to not only grow in teaching, but also in other areas, which include development in management. English Foreign Trainers will help students improve their English reading, writing, listening and speaking abilities. By using the provided state-of-the art technology, activity books, listening materials, sing-along exercises, and various onsite supplies and props, trainers will provide a fun and exciting English learning experience.Trainers work 40 hours per week, spending 20-24 hours in the classroom with the students. When not working in the classroom, trainers will attend staff meetings and training sessions, prepare lesson plans, and lead demonstration lessons for prospective parents and students.

REQUIERMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university • 2 years of post-graduate work experience, • 6 month needs to be teaching/instruction/training that can be clearly identified on resume • A passion for educating young learners and a keen interest in their development • Energy, • enthusiasm and • passion to inspire children in the classroom • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities • Flexibility, openness and professionalism • Internationally recognized TEFL certification preferred

REQUIERMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES • Must be a native English speaker • English language fluency including but not limited to: proper grammar, sentence structure, word tense, subject-verb agreement, and proper use of adjectives and adverbs • Demonstration of a neutral accent, clear pronunciation, good intonation and English language rhythm • Ability to commit to a 12-15 month contract • Ability to command the attention of large groups of children in an engaging and compelling manner • Professionalism in oral and written communications • Customer-service oriented with creative problem solving skills • Deliver curriculum with energy and enthusiasm, using immersive learning techniques such as story-telling, singing, dialogue and role playing in combination with formal exercises

REQUIERMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES • Communicate with learners in an engaging, age-appropriate way, ensuring that language learning is both effective and fun • Measure progress and educational results through the delivery of formal and informal assessments and progress reports • Collect audio & visual portfolio material of learners’ work and progress during lessons to share with parents • Partner closely with the Learning Partners to maintain strong relationships with parents, ensuring high level of program engagement and outstanding service, by communicating both in person and through our online portal • Ensure classes are run efficiently and start and end, as scheduled • Prepare print materials, technology and supplemental materials prior to the start of each lesson

What benefits are included in the compensation package? • PAID FLIGHTS • Disney English will book a one-way ticket from your city of origin, to your city of orientation • You will be provided a (taxable) travel allowance of 420 RMB (approx ZAR750.00), added to each month’s salary, for your return flight • IN-COUNTRY SUPPORT • Meet & Greet at Airport • 3 weeks stay at hotel during training • 7,000 RMB (approx R11,000.00) training bonus (issued 2-3 weeks after arrival) • HIGH SALARIES • Salaries starts at 10,000 RMB (approx R16,000.00) • HOUSING ALLOWANCE • 3,000-4,350 RMB (approx R5,500.00) monthly housing allowance (varies on location) • Directly deposited with monthly salary • You will not begin to accrue your housing allowance until you check out of the hotel

COST IMPLICATIONS • Admin & application fee R 1, 350.00 • Program & placement fee FREE Recommended Spending money $ 3, 000.00 plus • Rent deposits are generally 3 month’s rent and you would need to pay your 1st month’s rent in advance so 4 month’s rent at once. • You can elect to receive the 3 month housing allowance in advance, but then will receive your first regular housing allowance in month 4 only • Recommended Spending money $ 1, 500.00 plus

  23. REQUIREMENTS • You must be between the age of 21 and 55, • If over the age of 40, we require some teaching experience. • English MUST be your first language. • If this is not the case, we will require a voice clip as well as telephonic interview before you can be accepted onto this program • A Bachelor’s Degree PLUS one of the following qualifications: • Teachers license • TEFL / TESOL or CELTA certificate (120+ hours including a 20hours in-class training) • Bachelors Degree in Education, English* or Linguistics • Masters Degree in any discipline • 1 year full-time teaching experience with Bachelors Degree in any discipline • UK, USA, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, South African or Irish nationality

  24. RESPONSIBILITIES What will I teach? • This will differ according to school but you will be given plenty of guidance and assistance in preparing your lessons. This will be provided both at the orientation and be on-going from when you arrive at your school. Also, when you are in class teaching, you will have a Korean co-teacher to assist.
