  1. History of Mobile Technology Over the last ten years, mobile phones have gone through several incremental technology leaps that have added capabilities that impact the retail industry.  I've listed the six major ones below, along with their long-lasting impact.

  2. Define Mobile Technology • are the technologies platforms that are developed for and used on mobile devices. In essence you can develop mobile technology on a computer or mobile device to create another mobile technology.

  3. History The earliest mobile apps from retailers made it easy to find nearby stores, and companies are looking at ways to use Wi-Fi triangulation inside stores.

  4. . Computer Vision In 1997 Philippe Kahn shared a photo of his newborn using a mobile phone thus launching the popularity of instant visual communications.Over the years the quality of the cameras got better, reaching the point where barcodes could be read around 2008. 

  5. First commercial cellphone A decade after Cooper made that first call, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission approved Motorola's DynaTAC phone for public use. In 1984, the first DynaTACsbecame available for consumers.

  6. Cellphonecameras - In 2002, the first phones with built-in cameras became publicly available, including the Nokia 7650 and the Sanyo SPC-5300. The Nokia phone boasted "a large 176x208 pixel colour display," according to a media release at the time.

  7. -The Sanyo version offered three user controlled tones, white balance and zoom.Today's iPhone 5, in contrast, offers an eight-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and built-in face detection.
