  3. Homework • Have your homework out- trade it with the person to your right • We will be correcting and grading it in class

  5. eyepiece • 10x power lens

  6. Body tube • Aligns eyepiece with lenses

  7. Revolving nosepiece • Holds and rotates objective lenses

  8. Objective lenses • 4x (low), 10x (medium), 40 x (high)

  9. stage • Platform for slides

  10. Stage clips • Fastens slides onto stage

  11. diaphragm • Light adjustment

  12. Mirror/lamp • Directs light onto slide

  13. adjustments • Coarse- raises/lowers stage with large movements

  14. adjustments • fine- raises/lowers stage with small movements

  15. Arm and base • Support and for carrying

  16. Total magnification = objective lens times eyepiece
