  1. Your ISP becomes your link to the internet. In order to get access you need to signup with an ISP (internet service provider). Here you are at your computer, but you don’t have internet connections.

  2. Thru your ISP you have access to search engines that help you find information. Search engines help by giving you URL addresses for sites that have the information you want. Once you have an ISP you become known as a client computer.

  3. Other people can now use their ISP to find your site. Once you make your site you will use FTP (file transfer protocol) to upload it to your ISP or other web host. HTML is the language of the internet. Eventually you may want to create your own website. To do this you will need web software that helps you convert your ideas into html code.
