  3. Expectations • Be Prepared to Learn • Punctuality with all assignments and homework. • Be Respectful to Others • Follow Directions • Complete Homework Sheet M T W TH • 20 minutes of nightly reading • Work not completed at school is considered homework

  4. Nightly Homework • Homework will be given on M T W TH unless teacher informs students otherwise. • The sheet has four areas of practice: Math, Language (Proofreading sentences) Geography (a US and World map is recommend) and reading. • Students do the sheet at home and return it the following school day.

  5. Home Reading Requirements • Each month each student will receive a reading sheet to take home. The sheet will be due the following Monday • The student will choose books appropriate to his/her reading level and interests. • After completing the required reading for the week, a parent or other responsible adult signs the sheet.

  6. Home Reading Requirements • As part of the reading homework, the student responds to what was read by filling out the bottom portion of the sheet. Suggestions for writing are given on the back of the sheet. • On the due date the student returns the completed reading sheet signed both by the student and parent.

  7. Home Reading Requirements • Grading of Home Reading • Excellent = More than one sheet completed per week. • Satisfactory = One sheet completed per week. • Needs Improvement = Less than one sheet partially completed per week. • Unsatisfactory = No sheets are returned.

  8. Supplies • Small Pencil Box • Small box of colored pencil • Small bottle of glue • Box of tissues • Roll of paper towels

  9. Pass off Multiplication and Division Facts Show improvement in math skills. Develop greater fluency in oral reading. Improve reading comprehension Develop and improve writing skills. Participate in classroom discussions. Develop and maintain legible cursive writing. Neatness in all work. Weekly spelling tests. Learn how to do reports and projects. A weekly progress report can be found at MyWeber Support. Complete work on time. Return make-up work promptly. General Expectations and Information
