  2. KNIGHTS • Knights were soldiers who went into battle on horse back. • They wore multiple layers of armour. • They were loyal to their king. • Chiveloury was very important to them.

  3. MEDIEVAL WEAPONS • These are some medieval weapons • Long sword could be up to 6ft long • Mace used to clobber people as you rode by • Dagger used for stabbing • Shield usually carried knights coat of arms

  4. MEDIEVAL FOOT SOILDER • Wore padded jackets for protection • Metal elbow and hand guards • Carried a sword shield and dagger

  5. MEDIEVAL ARCHER • Carried long bows • Crouched down behind their shields and fired at their enemy • Were one of the most important people on the field of battle • Sometimes carried crossbows

  6. MEDIEVAL LONGBOW • Were up to 6ft in length • Fired arrows at incredible speed • Were very accurate in the hands of a skilled user

  7. MEDIEVAL CROSSBOW • Were very powerful much stronger than a longbow • Fired shortened arrows called bolts which were half a foot long
