We are the Temple of God (Acts 17:24)Acts 17:24God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
We are the Temple of GodSolomon's Temple is a model of the New Testament believer 1 Cor. 3:9-16For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 16Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Cor. 6:19-20What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 2 Cor. 6:16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
We are the Temple of God Solomon's Temple is a model of the New Testament believer Ephes. 2:20-21And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: Hebrews 3:6But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. 1 Peter 2:5Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 4:17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? John 2:19-21Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21But he spake of the temple of his body. Mark 14:58We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

I received the following note from RD (I've taken the liberty of doing some minor editing): • First view: • Begin with the gate of the Outer Court, proceeding through, from the Brazen Alter unto the Ark of the Covenant, in the Holiest of All • This would be Man's approach unto God,the walk of faith. • As man comes to God, he must begin at the Gate, accept the Blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. From there on he progresses step by step, line upon line, until he comes to the ultimate - the full Glory of God as seen in the most Holy Place. • Second view: • Follow the general order of revelation, and begin where God began, that is, with the Ark of the Covenant, and then proceed on out to the Brazen Altar and Court Gate. • This would be approaching the truth from God unto Man, that is,the path of grace. Unless God first comes with His grace to man, man will in no wise be able to stand in the Presence of the Holy God. • From the Brass Altar to the Ark of the Covenant: Man's Approach, FAITH • From the Ark of the Covenant to the Brass Altar: God's Approach, GRACE
