  3. Parts of a Plant Leaves- the parts of the plant where food is made by photosynthesis. Flowers- the reproductive parts of the plant. Stems- supports the upper parts of the plants. Roots- anchors the plant in the soil. Water and minerals are taken from the soils through the roots. Seeds- contains tiny embryo of a plant inside. Back

  11. Stigma Return to Part of a Flower • The stigma is uppermost part of the pistil, the female reproductive tissue of a flower. The stigma receives the male pollen grains during fertilization, when they travel through the style to the ovary.
