POINTS of PRIDE • Our signature “learning in action” programs provide hands-on experience • across all majors, such as: • Video in the Community, Senior Experience, STEM Center and Frontiers in Science • OUR CAMPUS FACILITIES • CSUSM Has 149 teaching and research labs including biomechanics, behavioral • neuroscience, Cosmochemistry, ethnobotany, and nursing simulation. • Kellogg Library houses an industry-grade video and music recording studio. • CSUSM offers fully furnished, modern apartments with private and shared room options. Amenities at complex include a multi-system game cave, recreation areas, a fitness center, and a resort style pool. • A new student union featuring student lounges an expansive ballroom, an outdoor amphitheater, and office space for student organizations.

FALL 2014 FRESHMAN OVERVIEW • Total Applications = 12,862 Total Admitted = 8,212 • Average GPA = 3.24 • Average SAT combined Math and Verbal score for admitted students = 948 • Average ACT composite Math and Verbal score for admitted students = 19.8 • Acceptance email notifications began in Dec. for LAA and Feb. for Non-LAA • Non-LAA index was 3300 SAT and 783 ACT

  5. FALL 2014 TRANSFER OVERVIEW • Total Applicants = 7805 • Total Admitted = 2618 • Average GPA = 2.85 • Non-local admissions area students could not be accommodated for fall 2014 • Preliminary Undergraduate Enrollment Numbers = 11,620

FALL 2015 APPLICANT OVERIEW • TRANSFER AND FRESHMAN • Acceptance email notifications will begin in December for LAA and • February or later for Non-LAA • Additional CSU impaction criteria will be utilized for all non-local admissions area • applicants, including higher GPA and eligibility index • More info at www.csusm.edu/admissions, select “impaction information.”

IMPACTED PROGRAMS • Selection of major does not impact the admission decision • Students are admitted in “pre-major” status • Separate screening criteria within each major are used to allow students • to declare these majors after students have been admitted. • Impacted majors: • Business administration • Kinesiology • Nursing/Pre-Nursing
