Recommendations for Enhancements in Mobile Food Service Contracts

This document outlines key recommendations from the 2003 National Logistics Workshop for improving Mobile Food Service contracts, specifically for feeding non-fireline personnel. Key suggestions include adding sandwiches to the supplemental item list, maintaining meat and meatless options per existing specifications, and ensuring adequate sanitation facilities. Essential modifications to the contract specifications for sack lunches are recommended, involving the participation of personnel currently in the field. Furthermore, considerations for new technologies such as Smart Cards must be integrated into future contract revisions.
