  5. Drafting (Rough Draft) • Putting your ideas and thoughts down on paper roughly in the format you intend to use • sentences and paragraphs • sloppy copy • Do not be concerned with mistakes

  6. Revising • Rewriting or rearranging sentences to make sense • Correcting any major errors • Improving the writing form and content. • YOU REVISE!

  7. Editing • Polishing your writing by correcting errors in grammar, spelling, and mechanics • A trusted friend or adult reads/corrects your paper • When another student corrects your paper it is called peer editing

  8. Publishing • Writing or typing your work • Turning in your work! • Sharing your work! • presentation • Speaking
